How Long Should a Podcast Episode Title Be?
Spotify and Google Podcasts display roughly 60 characters before truncating on mobile. Apple Podcasts allows up to 255 characters but most podcast apps will cut off anything beyond 100. The sweet spot is 40–60 characters — descriptive enough to attract clicks, short enough to display in full everywhere.
Avoid putting your podcast name in the episode title — most apps already display the show name separately, so repeating it wastes valuable characters. Lead with the topic or guest name to hook listeners immediately.
